MPV’s first arrived onto the car market in the 1980’s with the introduction of the Chrysler Voyager and Renault Espace. Gone are the days of MPV’s simply being van’s with seats and windows. Fun Fact- In 1994 Renault brought to life the “Espace F1” concept car, which still holds the title of the worlds fastest MPV. Featuring a 3.5 litre Renault V10 Formula 1 engine that delivered 820hp, the Espace F1 could accelerate from 0-62mph (100kmh) in 2.8s and achieved a top speed of 194 mph (312kph).
